Freedom Bremner is an artist whose career spans music, television, voice acting, and social activism.
A musician and recording artist, Freedom has released music on A&M, Sony, and Virgin Records and collaborated with artists like Moby, Taylor Swift, Benson Boone, Patti Labelle, Bernie Worrel, Jimmy Valentine (Maroon 5), and Hiromi, over the last 25 years.
A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, and a member of the SAG AFTRA Singers Committee which serves to shape the policies that impact vocal recording artists in film and television, Freedom has been both an artist, and activist throughout his career. As the lead singer of D'Tripp, Freedom was on the front lines of the New York City funk-rock scene of the 1990's. As his visibility expanded he joined the the iconic afro-punk band Screaming Headless Torsos (Warner/Discovery) as their new lead singer in 2001.
With the band's blessing Fredom took the reins as co-manager and set about raising the Torsos' international profile with new audiences on social media with live tour videos he edited and produced.
This was the beginning of his transition to video director and producer.
As frontman of Screaming Headless Torsos from (2003-2017) Freedom toured Europe and Latin America, regularly, co-writing and co-producing the Torsos' 2015 album Code Red.
Throughout his tenure with Torsos, he explored collaborations with other artists including his duet with Moby "At Least We Tried", and his Moby appearance with Moby in 2001 on Saturday Night Live. A series of winning performances on the CBS talent show Star Search with Arsenio Hall in 2002 and 2003, won Freedom his first major label solo record deal allowing him to release the single "Cuddly Toy" on A&M records.
In 2016, on a mission to foster voter participation in the 2020 US presidential election, he and guitarist Jameison Ledonio, produced "Stand 2020."
In addition to his musical achievements, Freedom regularly performs as a voice actor and a singer in popular TV series, including ABC's Teen Titans Go, Cliffords Puppy Days on PBS, and in popular video games like Clash of Royale and Parappa The Rapper 2. His voice has also graced major production soundtracks, (Baz Luhrmann's The Get Down and Seven Seconds with Regina King on Netflix, The Path, on Hulu, starring Aaron Paul.
He leads both Houseofreedom and Straight to the Creative, exploring his love for storytelling, documentaries, interview format and films, collaborating with his favorite artists and professionals to innovate within the media production space.
