At Straight to the Creative, we know that your story is important.

We combine hyper-specific storytelling and the universal powers of music, video, and film production, to create compelling storytelling. The Birth of Straight To The Creative
My name is Freedom Bremner and I am the founder and creative director at Straight To The Creative. Over the last 7 years, I have assembled a team of professionals, both creatives, and "creative administratives” alike. I believe creativity comes in many forms.
Straight To The Creative started, like so many great things in life, started as what the great PBS art teacher Bob Roberts would call
"a happy accident". I've been an actor and a musician since I was in high school. Throughout my music career, I was the band member that took on album art design, poster design, promotion, marketing, and media even before there was social media. The storytelling, getting the message out through whatever media was available, it somehow always fell to me and I loved it.
In the early 2000's as social media was expanding I taught myself how to use editing software, I bought some cameras and started to create live tour videos and social media content for my former band Screaming Headless Torsos, as we toured Europe and Latin America. After a couple of years my confidence and skill sets grew and I started to conceive more advanced ideas for my band that involved scriptwriting, locations, sets, voice dubbing, hiring full film crews, directors, and occasionally muppets!
The happy accident came when I was contacted by a global life sciences company that had seen my music videos. They asked me if I would produce a special end of the year "thank you" video on behalf of one of the executives for their international team. I never intended to direct videos or films, for other clients, but growth is good, opportunity was knocking, and we answered. That project allowed me utilize my trusted team, and entire technical and creative skill set: recording, music licensing, music arrangement, scripting a story, sourcing and filming on location. Once again, I found myself loving it.
The emotional impact of that particular project and it's effect on the company’s employees, was so strong that the client hired us to create a short film, a musical campaign, and several other short form videos. One year into working with them, I decided to add a new division to Houseofreedom, and we called it Straight To The Creative. There's a story behind the name too. We'll save that one for later. We're here to help you tell your story in the most compelling and interesting way for your audience. Our story is unique and so is yours.
